The Nation Building Program assists national, regional economic and social development, by the provision of funding aimed at improving the performance of land transport infrastructure.
Open Level Crossings Infrastructure Program
There are approximately 1660 public level crossings on the entire Queensland rail network. Of these, 1305 are on the non commercial rail network. There will be $42.74million invested in the upgrades of 66 priority public open level crossings with boom gates but may also include other forms of active and passive protection.
